How many scenes should I do for my Reel?

There is no minimum or maximum of scenes to be done for the Reel. The more complete it is the better, of course, so you have the possibility of showing more range, characters and acting skill. We recommend a minimum of three characters in different range.

How much does a Reel cost?

The price of our Complete Reel service varies depending on what you choose and / or need. Our rates are per scene, monologue, intro / outro and Reel assembly. Taking these rates into account, you can make the combination that best suits your needs.

 

 

Do you have offers or packs?

At the moment we do not have any type of offer or pack. However, we recommend that you subscribe to our Newsletter to receive all the information about future discounts, offers and gifts.

Can I pay in installments?

Yes, one of our payment methods is the divided into two parts. A first payment, as a deposit for the booking of dates and a second payment upon the final delivery of the material.

 

Where is your office?

We have an office in Madrid from where we coordinate the entire production process.

What if I do not live in Madrid?

For now, we only shoot in Madrid. On some occasions we have traveled to other cities. However, this trip carries an extra cost in the final rate. For more information about these rates contact us on: info@alpha-reels.com

Why do you shoot scenes separately?

It is very important for us that the scenes are worked on separately, so the actor or actress will be 100% focused on the scene that is being worked on. You may hire a service for three scenes, each of a different genre: drama, thriller, and comedy.

 

In our experience, it has been shown that it is not recommended that the actor or actress prepare the drama scene with the comedy scene in mind, or vice versa.

 

It is for this reason that if you have several scenes, we will not give you the script for the next one until the previous one is done.

What is the final length of each scene?

The duration per scene is 2 to 4 minutes, depending on the nature of the scene itself.

 

In our experience with Casting Directors and Agents, we consider that it is the appropriate time for the actor or actress to go through different emotional states, work a clear line of thought, without being an excessive duration for the final Reel.
 

However, as you will see on our website, some scenes exceed this length, since the nature of each scene is always unique, and therefore is its length.

Any length above 4 minutes, we consider a gift to the client, and we always advise choosing the best minute for the assembly of the Reel, should you have hired this service.

What is the completion time of a Reel?

The time it takes to finish the Reel is between one and three months, depending on the contracted services.

 

Sometimes, when the Actor or Actress hires a very high number of scenes or services, this process is extended, occupying part of the following trimester. If you are interested in hiring a large number of services, please contact us on: info@alpha-reels.com

Can I shoot multiple scenes on the same day?

In our opinion, it is not advised for reasons explained above. However, there are times when the Actor or Actress has limited time to perform the services.

 

In this case, we do not put any impediment to do everything on the same day, being the Actor or Actress who assumes the risks that this may imply in the acting performance of the scenes.

Can I add scenes previously done to the Reel?

Of course! During the Reel Assembly we can include all the material filmed with Alpha Reels and any previous material that you wish to add..

What are the usual time frames of work?

Based on our experience, the average duration of the entire process is one and a half / two weeks per scene.

 

However, each service or combination of services has a different nature and therefore its pre-production, production and post-production times vary. This is something that will be discussed in the meeting prior to starting the process.

 

In any case, the services will always be performed within the maximum period of 3 months.

What happens if I do not shoot my scenes within the three months?

If the services are not performed within the three months for reasons beyond Alpha Reels, such services will not be performed.

 

In this case, the client must book new dates for the performance of these services. This would entail a new booking and payment.

What is your availability?

Our availability depends on whether we have started the trimester or not.

 

In the case of having our agenda closed for the trimester, you can sign up for our waiting list. If there were any new available slots in the current trimester, we would contact you in list order.

 

It is always better to sign up for the waiting list to ensure your slot, and if when we contact you, you decide that you do not need the service or have changed your mind, you can let us know without any kind of commitment.

Could we do an online meeting?

Of course! If for any reason you cannot come to our offices in Madrid, we can do the meeting online.

Do you do online rehearsals?

We always prefer to rehearse in person. However, if you are outside of Madrid and it is impossible for you to travel to our offices for the rehearsal, there would be no problem in doing the rehearsal online with the Director.

What is the work process?

1. Informational call and / or email with our terms and conditions.
    

2. Personal meeting in which we will develop the ideas for your personalized scripts, and payment of the deposit for the booking of dates and start of the service.
    

3. Delivery of scripts by email.
    

4. Casting process. Once the supporting Actor or Actress is selected, a WhatsApp group is created with the Actors or Actresses, and the Alpha Reels production team.
    

5. In this WhatsApp group, we will set the dates for rehearsal and shoot, we will confirm a filming location and wardrobe options.
    

6. Shoot with Director, Director of Photography, Sound Recordist, Hair & Make-up Artist (this last service is optional and at a cost).
    

7. Post-Production. The Editing, Sound Editing and Color Grading process is carried out.
    

8. Delivery of your material within 20 working days from the shooting date.

   
    

What extra costs can be there?

Anything extraordinary to the services provided by Alpha Reels could entail an extra cost and must be covered by the client.

 

Some of the extra costs may include:

• Rental of specific props (weapons, tools, vintage props ...)

• Rental of specific clothing (period style , science fiction...).

• Hair & Make Up (Alpha Reels offers this service at an additional cost subject to the type of makeup, hairdressing and / or characterization that is required).

• Rental of a specific location.

• Background actors.

Are the scripts 100% original?

Yes, the scripts are always personalized for each Actor or Actress, based on the ideas specified in the previous meeting. This guarantees that the material on your Reel cannot be found anywhere else.

 

However, if the Actor or Actress wishes to adapt a scene from a TV series, movie or novel, our team is open to considering it.

Can I use scripts written by me? Is there discount if so?

We are always open to all kinds of proposals. However, they will always go through the supervision and approval of the Alpha Reels production team.

 

In these cases, we do not offer any type of discount, since our services are always hired in full.

 

Can I bring an external Director?

We do not work with Directors outside the Alpha Reels team.

Can I bring an acting coach? ​

During the shoot you will have the Director, who will be in charge of bringing out the best of you in each take. However, we do not allow any acting coach outside of the Alpha Reels team to attend the shoot.

 

You can prepare the scene with an acting coach, but it is not something that we advise since it is very likely that when the rehearsal with the Director happens, the scene could go in a totally different direction to how you have prepared it with the coach.

Do you shoot in different languages?

Yes, we have shot scenes in several languages, including Spanish, Catalan, English, French, Italian, German and Japanese.

 

Alpha Reels offers scripts in Spanish, Catalan, English and French. The translation into any other language will be the responsibility of the client.

Can you provide locations?

Yes, in our facilities we have a wide range of locations. From a restaurant, personal office, bedroom, living room, dining room, interrogation room, basement, abandoned house, storage room, vintage location, etc.

 

In the case of a more specific location needed which the Alpha Reels team cannot provide, it will be the responsibility of the Actor or Actress to obtain it.

Do you get supporting Actors and Actresses?

Yes, we have a database with Actors and Actresses with whom we have already worked and we know that they perform very well.

Do you offer hair & make-up services?

Yes, we offer this service at an additional cost.

 

Alpha Reels acts as a connecting link. We put the Actor or Actress in contact with the hair & Make-up artist, and it is the Actor or Actress who pays the fee for this service directly to the artist.

Do you help with the Reel distribution?

Yes, we offer a free consulting service to all of our clients.
